Project Accountant

DeAngelis Diamond is an innovative, award winning, national construction management firm specializing in commercial and multi-family construction. We are headquartered in beautiful Naples, Florida but are looking for a Project Accountant for our Nashville office. We are nationally ranked as a top company by ENR.

What you'll be doing: 

  • ​You will assist the Project Manager in the creation and delivery of the monthly owner billing and invoices while adhering to DeAngelis Diamond's accounting standards.
  • You will review and prepare documents required for timely payment of billing and invoices, supporting project financial reviews and communicating cost over-runs to the appropriate functions.
  • You will coordinate all project invoices (cost and revenue) from entry to payment.
  • You will manage subcontractor’s compliance including insurance requirements and licenses.
  • You will be required to clearly and professionally communicate with various team members including the Project Management Team, the Accounting Team, Subcontractors, Owners, Architects and other Business Partners.
  • You will be working closely with other Project Accountants to assist with balancing workload across many construction projects.

What you'll need for this position:

  • Accounting experience preferably in a construction environment.
  • 4 year degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for construction
  • Ability to work independently and meet monthly deadlines.
  • Advanced accounting coursework is preferred but not required.
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and commitment to delivering quality results.
  • Proficient in MS Office projects with advanced MS Excel knowledge.
  • Experience with Sage Timberline, AIA Documents (G702/G703) & lien waivers is preferred.
  • Ability to use technology, especially cloud based software, to meet goals accurately and efficiently.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong personal integrity and has the highest ethical standards.
