Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Strategic Development Manager who can help us continue to expand our presence in and around Nashville, Tennessee. This position will be charged with generating new business interest through prospecting, networking, cold calling, relationship building and community activities. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the market, our competitors and the solutions/services DeAngelis Diamond can provide. The Strategic Development Manager will work with Partners, VP of Strategic Development, marketing, and all local staff to win new clients.

What we are looking for: 

  • Natural ability to communicate with prospective clients while building authentic relationships
  • Motivated self-starter with at least 5 years of business development experience
  • Construction experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, a detail oriented mindset and "can-do" attitude

  • Able to function in a friendly and outgoing environment

What you will be doing:

  • Overall responsibility for bringing new project opportunities to DeAngelis Diamond
  • Utilize existing relationships in the industry to introduce DeAngelis Diamond to prospective clients.
  • Regularly research different data bases (such as BidClerk) for new projects.   
  • Make cold calls, set appointments and send out marketing packages as appropriate.
  • Network through various organizations to ultimately facilitate bringing in new clients.   
  • Assist the corporate marketing staff and local leaders in Nashville by answering specific questions in proposals that are defined as the local project pursuit responsibility (RFQs, RFPs, LOQs, RFBs, etc.).  This includes communication with leadership as to the staff to support the project being pursued.
  • Take the lead and work with our marketing staff in formulating information for presentations
  • Utilize DD’s CRM database, Pipedrive, to store lead information and keep this information up-to-date on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the VP of Strategic Development and office leaders in preparing an annual strategic development plan for the Nashville office.
  • Other duties as assigned
