Benefits Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to assist with administration of all benefit programs including medical insurance, life, dental, vision, short and long term disability and our 401(k) plan. What you'll be doing: 

  • Take a comprehensive and holistic approach to benefits administration.
  • Assist with new-hire orientations and on-boarding efforts.
  • Enroll employees with insurance carriers and process life status changes.
  • Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
  • Assist with the open-enrollment process.
  • Assist with new-hire background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
  • Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need for this position:

  • HR experience preferred.
  • Detail oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Outstanding communicator: able to synthesize complex information into simple, actionable insights and ability to communicate technical building process with construction and non-construction team members equally.
  • Positive, high energy, and eager to learn and work in a fast-paced, extremely high-growth company.
  • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
  • Seek to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.   
  • Strong personal integrity and has the highest ethical standards.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
